The Confluence – Souloutpourings for relations with oneself and others
Confluence
In my heart there is longing for you,
On an unusual day,
It makes me wonder –
Am I right or am I wrong!?
My heart is a tiny drop of water,
Yearning to merge in the ocean that you are,
Oh but why!?
The vastness of your wiseness,
Knows that the destiny of the ocean,
Is more than kissing the drop every week,
Knows that the destiny of the ocean,
Is to hug and conquer the mountains.
It often makes the tiny drop in me wonder,
Do I miss the sight of you,
Just having you on my horizon, or
Do I miss the essence of our confluence,
Those whispered words which like waves mirrored our souls!?
The drops in me are sizzling in the heat
Sizzling in the pain of the distance between us,
Are you cognizant of it?
Are you even aware of my breath that is evaporating!?
I respect the ocean inside you
But does the ocean in you,
Respect the breath of the droplet!?
The drops in me are stranded ashore,
Patience thinning out,
They are stranded hoping for rescue,
The rescue of balance,
Balance between kissing the droplets
And hugging the mountains.
It makes me wonder
Is the ocean even capable
Of grasping the pain of the droplet!

Good effort. Please opt for small poems. There is a chance for going wayward if you try for long one.
